Our events are more than just meetings - they are inclusive spaces where representatives from VCFSE and statutory organisations come together to identify common priorities, build relationships, and co-produce local responses.

At the Manchester Community Power Forum July Summit, we'll be building on earlier work by sharing a Theory of Change and explore how it strengthens community power through co‑learning and learning‑in‑action. In neighbourhood groups, we’ll apply it to a co‑developed priority, moving from theory to action and reflecting on what landed well, what didn’t, and what’s still needed.
The Manchester Community Power Forum includes Gorton & Levenshulme, Ardwick & Clayton and Clayton & Openshaw. The summit will cover the CPF story so far, so new people are very welcome.

On Monday 9th Feb, the CPF met at Gorton Central.
Working with MCC Neighbourhood Community Development Officers and MLCO Health Development Coordinators, forum members drafted place plans, based on the priorities identified in Sept 2025.
We heard from MCC Neighbourhood Managers how these community-created place plans will help shape ward plans, and Josie Sykes (Community Development and Participation Lead at MCC) spoke of how community power is threaded through much of MCC's work, but there is always scope for improvement.
